Default Transferring domain from Easyspace

Hello

In a couple of weeks I plan to transfer my website and .com domain name from Easyspace to eUKhost but I'm confused about the process, especially domain name transfer.
I would like the Gold cPanel shared hosting.

I have gone through a dry run of the the ordering process without actually finalising it. Regarding the domain name transfer - early on in the ordering process there is an option to do this for 6 pounds + VAT - but it does not mention any actions required by Easyspace.

However, a couple of years ago someone asked a similar question in these forums and said Easyspace wanted 50 pounds + VAT to transfer.

What do I have to do in order to transfer my domain name?

There is also an option to leave my domain name on Easyspace and just alter the nameservers, email etc - is this advisable and trouble-free?

Thank you in advance
Malcolm

Hello Malcolm,

You can either transfer your domain name to eUKhost at the time of ordering cPanel Linux Gold plan or leave the domain with the current registrar and just point the nameservers of the domain name to our server in order to use it with our hosting. Both these options are trouble free, its only a matter of personal choice whether to keep hosting and domain separate or at one place.

Domain transfer fees is £6.00 for a .com domain which is including VAT. You won't need to pay any additional fees to transfer your domain name to eUKhost. In order to initiate the transfer of your domain name, you will need to provide us the EPP/Authorization code for your domain which you can get from Easyspace.

Please feel free to ask if you have any more questions.

I have never had any issues with hosts in the past who charged a change over fee like this, really 50 pounds? That seems like something kind of dumb to charge over for, isn't it something simple to do? Even with the fee though, I must admit, its easier (so it sounds) than changing from Dreamhost (YECH) to a new place.

Sorry if I'm treading on any toes here, save your £6 and leave your domain name with your current registrar and just change the hosting to eukhost.
