Hi,

Was wondering if eUKhost has any plans to host Windows 2008 vps servers... I am particulary interested in the application sharing technology provided by microsoft on these platforms.

Yes. We will try to introduce Windows VPS on windows 2008 Server platform as soon as Swsoft includes it in their Virtuozzo installation list.

I have ran test installations of Windows Server 2008 and I can say that it is a top notch offering from Microsoft from what I have seen so far. I am glad that eUKhost are embracing it

I have seen that those who are offering Windows 2008 hosting, have some availability issues as-

• The Windows 2008 Beta Hosting will be available as long as Windows 2008 is in
beta/release candidate release.

• Customers will be notified 30 days prior to discontinuation of the Windows 2008 Beta
Hosting.

• Hosting company reserves the right to discontinue the Windows 2008 Beta Hosting at
any time with prior notification to Beta plan customers.

• The Windows 2008 Beta Hosting is served as trial hosting account only for clients to
test on the new Windows Server 2008 and is not suitable for any production web site.

• Email service is not provided for Windows 2008 Beta Hosting.

There is still a bit to go as far as Windows 2008 is concerned. It still needs some thrashing out

Oh yes no doubt about that but it is looking extremely promising and I have been using it seemlessly in a testing environment

Definitely Windows 2008 is looking promising, but running Web Hosting Servers on it looks difficult due to its BETA version (under trial) and as now it is not included in Virtuozzo installation list.

I'm sure as it comes out of beta it will be included on the list - and it has to be one of the most stable and impressive beta versions I have seen for a while!

We are eager to include Windows 2008 (provided it come out of beta version and included in Virtuozzo installation list)

Just wondering if you are using it on VMWare . . .
