I am gutted. Having read all the good feedback about EUKHOST, and liking what I see, I thought that I had found, at last, a hosting company who cares.

But I need a Windows VPS Hosting with MSSQL etc and EUKHOST only seems to offer Linux. Why is this?

Any recommendations as to other companies who care? What about Fisrt?

We are in process to launch Windows VPS Hosting services very soon. As of now we are in the planning stages and working out all the details so it won't take too long for us to offer Windows VPS Hosting.

Costs involved in Windows VPS Hosting setup are more but we are trying to get better deal on licences from swsoft for windows virtuozzo. Swsoft policies are quite complicated but 4 weeks time is sufficient for us.

We will have windows VPS Hosting service in first week of March.

Windows VPS Hosting launch is scheduled for first week of March. Let me know your requirements by that time to let you know the pricing for it. Cost of windows VPS Hosting will be close to twice as that of Linux VPS Hosting.

I would probably want to start with the Windows equivalent of your L-VPS Hosting-01 package. So 10GB Disk Space and 200GB Bandwith with MSQL database.

Our discussions with swsoft has been successful and we have managed to get good pricing from them. There should be no problems in launch of this servce next week onwards as the most important part of Virtuozzo licensing has been sorted.

I am also looking for a Windows VPS Hosting. How will you compare price wise with interhost. If you are around the same i think i may be placing an order too.

Our pricing will be quite similar but definitely not more than their pricing. Initially we had some problems when we launched Linux VPS Hosting so we wish to avoid anything similar from happening again. We are giving 1 full week for research to our Windows System Admins and that time should be sufficient for them. Virtuozzo will take care of everything else.

I wish to schedule the launch on 8th of this month but guys want it from 12th. I will finalize dates and add a new post in announcements section on coming Monday.

We will setup 3 nodes initially so as of now we have managed to count for first node. Hopefully other 2 will get filled before the end of month. I am happy to bring virtuozzo in picture as virtuozzo will improve monitoring tools and our team will need to put less efforts in monitoring and troubleshooting.

I am looking at your W-VPS Hosting-01 package. When i click on charges along side Control Panel, the popup says that the '30 domains' option is free but when i go through the Order Wizard it tried to add an extra Â£2 for the Plesk 30 Domains.

As of now there wont be any coupon available or any special offer as we don't wish to overload our VPS Hosting team. Things have been perfect with our VPS Hosting team and we wont be doing anything that would spoil reputation of our support.

Our discussion with swsoft has completed and we have started setup of a new node which will be tested with few VPS Hosting in next couple of days. We will finalize number of allowed processes once the beta testing is completed.

Is .NET framework supplied? (Need 1.1 or above)

Is Secure Socket Layer (SSL) supported?

What is the backup policy - do you backup the databases?

Hello Chris,

.Net Framework installed by default would be 2.0 and 3.0 but you can communicate with our support team and add 1.1 on your VPS Hosting.

SSL support is included and you can use shared SSL feature for free with plesk control panel but for Dedicated SSL certificate you will need to pay extra.

We take weekly backups of all nodes on separate backup servers but iif you messup something and ask us to restore then you will be charged Â£15 extra for restoration. If something goes wrong with the hardware or anything else that does not involve your mistake then the restore is done for free.

Hi these, when I was asking about the price of the new Windows VPS Hosting hosting package comparing you to Interhost you said :-

'Our pricing will be quite similar but definitely not more than their pricing'.

Their base package is £250 (support for 100 domains) for the year and yours is £312 (support for 30 domains). I know you offer more bandwidth but they offer 150 processes as opposed to 80 and support for 80 more domains.

I know we are only taking £62 extra but I though you may come in slightly cheaper rather than over £60 more expensive.

I am not trying to make you look bad, I am just looking for the best deal I came get while not compromising service.

Ask them how many System Administrators they have and whats their level with Windows. Also check if they have 24x7 phonesupport, livechat support and helpdesk support available. I would also like to know type of hardware they use as Dell is not willing to give us any further discounts on hardware.

Also let me know if they make 2 separate remote backups in a week for your VPS Hosting and if they don't then whats the cost to maintain a separate backup server parallel to Windows node hosting your VPS Hosting.

I never gave any commitments with pricing in my previous replies as profit margin is calculated at the time of setup of packages. Pricing of plesk and virtuozzo was not clear to us till 7th of this month.

I can answer your queries about Interhost, as I used to be a Windows VPS Hosting customer, but I left because the support was sh*t.

Their hardware is all Dell & Cisco, I know that for a fact because of the details registered in the sys info of my VPS Hosting which I had with them, they also have pictures of hardware on their website hosting. They also don't have any 24x7 support, live support, forums or messenger support. As far as I'm aware, Interhost is only 1 guy, since when I phoned them it was only 1 same guy who answered. For VPS Hosting, they had a separate subnet, which quickly got filled up, and started using IPs from the Centrehost (not very professional?). Centrehost is also 1 guy, and I think the guys Centrehost & Interhost are friends, since once when I phoned Interhost, I spoke to the guy who ran Centrehost. On several occasions I had to phone to get my support tickets answered, sometimes I never got them answered, or had to forward them for attention. As far as BackUps go, they never backed me up, never ever! Their knowledge level of Windows didn't appear to be much either. Everything was always answered by the same guy, everything (technical, billing & support) and all data centre problems were reported to customers by him, so as I suggested, I think it's only 1 guy. Even cancelling with them was a drag, it took me a couple of days, and I phoned, and they just said that it had to be done by email (very frustrating!!!). How they have so many customers is crazy!

eUKhost Windows VPS Hosting are much better than the ones from Interhost, because they work! I remember building a webpage which contained flash, and I put it on my VPS Hosting, and the flash file didn't play, and I had registered its mime type etc etc, and the page worked on my local dev server. I also had an instance of something else not working, but I've forgotten what it was now.

So to sum up: eUKhost are 10000000000% better than Interhost, both support wise & technically. Anybody thinking of going to Interhost.... you must be crazy! And I just want to thank the eUKhost sys admins for the support they have provided me with in the last couple of weeks, and I'm sure their high standard will carry on.
