Wordpress on Windows Hosting?

Hi,

Is it possible to install and run Wordpress using your Windows Hosting ?

If so, how would this be done?

Yes - the hosting packages come with PHP and MySQL so you are able to use WordPress.

The linux packages come with Fantastico - so you can easily install scripts (such as wordpress) with a touch of a button.

So is there a facility that will install Wordpress at the touch of a button in Windows Hosting too?

If not, how would I install it?

Also if I get a Reseller plan will I be able to install Wordpress in the same way for each website I setup ?

I don't think there is a tool to install it with a touch of a button in Windows.

Is there a specific reason you want Windows hosting? As Linux hosting is A LOT better. You should only use Windows hosting if you require a feature specific to windows only.

I need Windows hosting as I want to move a site that has a load of ASP coding on it already and I also want to add a Wordpress blog.

So looks like you've got everything I need!

The installation of Wordpress is fairly simple anyway - you just need to upload the wordpress files to your user account, create the MySQL database, and then run the installation script that comes with wordpress.

Can you guarantee that my sites will be hosted on a server in the UK with a UK IP address?

Yes, All our servers are UK based with UK IP adresses.
