Default Domain Transfer to eUKhost

Hi!
I just joined EUKHost. I had an existing .co.uk domain that I wanted to transfer. The registration on that domain expires on the 2nd April 2008.
When I opened my EukHost account, I was charged and extra £9 for "domain registration/transfer" which, I assumed from the info on the Eukhost website was for 2 years registration of the domain name (including 1 free year).
This morning, I looked at the domain information on Eukhost, and the expiry date is still 2nd April 2008. Furtermore, the registrant is shown as Eukhosts, not me!
Forgive me if I've got this totally wrong, but does this mean that Eukhost have taken ownership of my domain name? and what was the extra £9 I paid for? If I'd known there was a transfer charge, I would have done what I did with my other domain and left it where it is!
Any clarification gratefully received!

Hello Nige,

Your domain name will be renewed for next 2 years for the amount that you have paid. This part is completely managed by our billing system so you wont need to pay anything for renewal of the domain name till 2010.

As far as the ownership is concerned, I would like to know your domain name to make necessary changes. In any case you are the owner of your domain name as we are genuine service providers and we wont keep ownership of your domain name no matter if its worth Millions or Billions in any currency.

whois lookup shows that your domain name is registered on name of "Nigel Simm"

Is that correct ?

Because the information about the domain - ie: Registrant Details - when I log into the Eukhost account shows that the registrant is Eukhost.

Glad to see you got it sorted. I would say Mark is normally the person to contact about things like this (for future reference) if he has said something but the computers have not done the same .

I initially posted thinking that Mark would pick up the post, but then realised that a support ticket would be the way to go,
I submitted a ticket to billing, and they responded in real time, and with no quibbling. I'm really impressed!!
Despite the ups and downs that I've had with Eukhost since I joined, I can't fault their willingness and prompt responses, which is why I've just signed up for another year.

Mark should be expected in picture only if something fails to work as expected. We've given responsibilities to our other staff members as well and they have given their 100% in last couple of months which is good for growth of eUKhost. You can see support staff answering threads from support forum within no time. I hope you can now easily differentiate between eUKhost and other hosting companies

Absolutely! In respect to price and standard of support, eUKhost by far outstrips any other hosting company I've had experience of.
I'm glad I stuck it out, and even more glad that you and your excellent team persevered with all the glitches (and my tetchniess!) since I joined.
