Are eUKhost actually american?
I know it sounds like a strange question... e 'UK' host being american...
All the addresses are in Duram yes... but is there any aspect of the company in america? i read a review somewhere that a couple of people had their hosting accounts set up in america before complaining and eukhost changing it to a uk based server...
but then i tried to call the eukhost support and it went to an american answer machine.... which i thought was a bit odd... then i read a support email i got from one of the team and it has very 'american' ways of saying things...
example: Toll Free ('toll' doesnt seem a very popular word in gb, very american)
i know its a bit strange but i just wanted to make 100% sure as one vital area of my web hosting is that its british.
Many Thanks

Hi there,
eUKhost does have web hosting servers based in America since I believe some of its clients require US based web hosting. However, a majority of eUKhost servers including shared and VPS hosting nodes are located in the BlueSquare data centre, which is located in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
I believe that the only element of eUK in the US is the few US based hosting servers.

Hello,
What an interesting read! This is the first time we have been accused of being American.
However, joking aside, we are UK based. At one point in time, hosting anywhere but America was seen to be a rather expensive option. Indeed, we would have been talking 5 times the amount. As such, many clients would be used to dealing with US hosts, and the terminology they use. Also, a great deal of our customers are outside of the UK, many of whom don't have English as their first language. If you ask someone from Asia what's easier to understand "toll free", or "free phone", they will usually say toll free, as it has become an almost universal term. Indeed, I have even noticed a few adverts on TV here using it now.
However, changing it could be an option, to keep the English language alive I will talk it over with a few people here, with a view to changing it.
Also, regarding the answer phone, at a guess I'd say that's related to our VOIP provider. If for some reason they had a fault, they may have diverted it to voicemail. I will have someone look into that, with a view to adding our own message.

The American answerphone message yesterday also made me query the Britishness of the service in my initial enquiry. A tad confusing for some of us , but was solved in the reply.

Doesn't that depend on how it tastes?

First and third? Thats quite an achievement. So, nobodies died yet? I remember people in Chemistry making pure ethanol, thinking it can be mixed with other things to create vodka etc. Thank god they got stopped as the way they were going to do it was quite lethal!
