Default Transfer AWStats Logs

Hi,

Signed up for a hosting account yesterday and am now trying to work out the best way of transferring everything over from my old host.

I have been using AWStats on my old hosting account and would like to transfer the old logs to my new eUKhost account so that I have all historical information available to me. EUKhost support have told me that they cannot transfer the stats because my old host doesn't use cPanel. I was just wondering whether there was any way I could transfer the logs myself - I have already downloaded them to my computer and assume that I could ftp them to my new account - just not sure where to put them and whether they will work as expected if uploaded in this way. Does anyone know whether this is possible?

Thanks in advance.

Please upload them on your account hosted with us. I will try and get it sorted from someone over here.

I'm not sure if the format of log files is same or different, but we will try our best.

Thanks for the reply. Shall I just upload them to a new folder or do they need to go somewhere specific?

Also, I have now looked around the forum for similar queries (should have done this before posting) and a reply you gave to someone else at the end of March (sorry haven't worked out how to post links) was

"If you dont have cpanel over there then let us do the transfer of stats as our system admins will need to analyze few things before transferring stats".

Does this mean there is an easier way of transferring the stats rather than downloading and then uploading the numerous text files? I do still have the live files available to me at my old host as well as the back up/download.

I would suggest you to upload your stats in a new folder and allow us to build your stats from information you upload. If that doesn't work then you can provide us with access to your previous hosting account and we will analyze and restore your stats. I don't see any problem in getting this sorted, but you will need to open a ticket for our support team as this sort of work takes some extra time which can be done by the ticket support team only.

Update this thread with the ticket number once you submit a ticket as I would like to keep a track of it.

Great, thanks. Will let you have the ticket number when I've contacted support - probably later in the week.

Hi Mark

Just to let you know I have uploaded my stats to a new folder and opened a ticket. The ticket number is #CDO-21787-912.

I have just replied to Patrick. Most of the stats are fine but the last 4 months of 2007 are missing. I assume he's just accidentally missed them as I'm sure they were uploaded with the rest. No doubt all will become clear when he takes another look at them.
