Hello

I currently have shared linux hosting with eUKHost and am looking at upgrading to linux VPS. My website is currently up and running on the shared hosting with dbs, forums, blogs, cron jobs etc... My question is, will the upgrade process transfer all my existing settings and run my website without me having to manually change things?

Hello Vic,

All settings will remain the same. Transfer from cPanel to cPanel is easy and wont take much time. We'll take care of the migration of your database and other settings.

Do I send a ticket to get the migration process started or is there an upgrade path?

Also, can you confirm that you can send unlimited emails with a VPS as opposed to the 200 limit set in shared hosting?

Hi Vic,

You will need to submit an order for the vps from the order wizard and then submit a ticket for migration. Our staff will take care of migration and they will get back to you once your website starts working from the vps.

You can send unlimited emails from the vps, but if we get spam complaints for those then you will face problems with the vps. You need to ensure that the emails sent from the vps are sent to your subscribed members only.

Thanks, yes the emails will be sent to subscribed members only. It's just that I have a member list > 200 and the mailing list I use doesn't support "throttling" so some members don't receive emails.

no problem in that case

It sounds different when you say unlimited emails.
