Why is it . . . ?! Logged-out !
Hi eUKHost,
Why is it that if I am taking my time writing a post to the forum or a PM I go to submit/send it and find I have been logged-out and have to login again ?
I don't know the exact length of time, it seems about 10-15 minutes but whatever it is it's most off-putting ! Is there a reason for this ?
Thanks,
Jon

It may be several reasons. I recommend using a browser such a Firefox or Internet Explorer as some browsers may do this. Make sure you have enabled cookies properly & saved the password to your browser for quick logging in (only for private computers). I doubt this is a problem on eUKhost's end but again we are more than happy to help you out! If you're using IE or another browser that isn't Firefox, go to Control Panel -> Internet Options -> and click on the 'Privacy' tab and make sure its set to "Medium" or below, as you wish. This should rectify the issue. Let us know .
Ben.

If you are inactive on the forum for a predefined amount of minutes you will automatically be logged out for security purposes to ensure that no one can compromise your account .

Hello,
The best way to over come this problem is to check the box "Remember me" at the time you login. This will not clear the cookies unless you log off.

You can just hit the "remember me" option when logging in to the forum, this will keep you logged in at all times. And if you do not wish to have your browser auto log you in each time you visit the forums, you can log out each time you are done that cancels out the "remember me" option that you selected while logging in.

I use it all the time. It saves me typing everything in again when I come on the forum. If it's a public computer you're using, click 'remember me' when you first login and you won't experience the problems for needing to re-login to post. However remember to click logout once you've finished!

One of the reasons that I didn't use this on the public computers I use is because I didn't know the action of logging out cleared the cookie. And on most public computers you can't go to the "clear private data" option as it is restricted to admins.
