Affiliate programme needs a rethink

got my first affiliate referral yesterday, my previous host maintained a percentage of initial orders then every subsequent order you would also earn a commission. I believe that with EUK you only get a percentage of the first sale which in my case was about £7 - very low.

other hosts through the major networks like commission junction will give one of payments of $80-$150 for hosting signups.

can EUK offer a better deal on commissions than it does currently?

If eUK paid $80-$150 for every referral then they'd be out of business quickly.

Two of our Affiliates contribute 20% of our monthly signups. They prefer eUKhost over other CJ listed hosting companies as the volume of conversion on our website hosting is much more than the conversion on some other hosting companies that offer $100+. We offer what is affordable for us and we don't force anyone to join our affiliate program.

With euk's pricing if (Bronze plan) if they paid you 80pound they would have to have that customer for three years before thtey make 10pound. That would be pretty poor business.

Some hosting companies are offering $125 - $150 per Sale. Those who survive on affiliate commission simply make someone signup with such hosting companies for their smallest plan which could be $7.95 per month and they get commission of $125 - $150 for that sale

This Business is really good and those who believe in making money by hook or crook can make fortune with such affiliate business.

I agree with the points above, and certainly that the EUK product is extremely competitive from a price point of view, I feel though that the commission could be paid on renewals not just the inital signup, if its a smaller percentage to impact on profit less then people shouldn't really have a problem with that.

It would be better for affiliates to build up consistent long term customers for EUKhost by providing ongoing revenue via the affiliate programme.

Hello Brad,

Our profit margin on some of our web hosting plans is quite low and offering 20% affiliate commission on renewals will leave us nothing to earn out of those signups. Our customer base will go on increasing but finances will improve for our affiliates only and we will simply continue to do labor job. We have standard profit margin of 35% on most of our web hosting plans which is must for success of any Business.

Excuse me for telling you but referral system can't offer that much... If someone want to earn more through a referral system then that person should create an own referral system that links to a greater referral system... I hope that you understood what I said here.

Perhaps I spoke too soon previously....

Imagine my surprise to find I got a £60 commission for a sale last night for some EUK signup.... now thats much better and it actually happened!

So I assume now that the affiliate program is agreeable again? Glad to hear it - for the low prices and quality services provided by eUKhost the affiliate program is quite competative

I've just signed up to the affiliate scheme

my users are raving about the speed since we moved from a shared hosting account
on an overloaded US based server, to a VPS Hosting on Eukhost.

i'm sure that some of them will be considering the move, at least to Eukhost shared hosting

personally I think eukhost affiliate program it to improve its a account page and allow affiliate to have more controls. I can't find where to edit the payment preference.

There is no payment history as well.
