Making Shared SSL Cert Trusted
What would be involved for you guy's to provide an shared SSL certificate that was trusted. To stop the annoying "unsafe certificate" warnings.

From what I understand I don't think that would be possible. Not with out a lot more work and funding - so hence the prices would go up. But I'm sure someone from eukhost will be able to give a definite answer soon.

You will need to purchase private SSL for your domain name from http://www.eukhost.com/ssl.php
If the existing shared SSL is giving errors then let me know the IP address of server hosting your account or SSL URL that you are using.

It's not giving errors. I'm on vc10.eukhost.com.
I think I will be getting a private ssl certificate as the warning if it's normal just put's people off sometimes.

This is from opera
- The certificate for "vc10.eukhost.com" is signed by the unknown Certificate Authority "PositiveSSL CA". It is not possible to verify that this is a valid certificate
It's when you go into my subdomain on the server

it is giving error that the webpage contains both secure and insecure contents so you need to modify URL to the images and make them to work with relative path or https://
Error will disappear once you do that.

No, that's a different error. I've sorted that problem all my images are relative. If you clear your browser private data and try again you will see it's given because the certificate cannot be found upto a trusted root although it's been assigned by Commodo SSL.

I dont see any such error message in Mozilla or IE.
I dont have Opera on my machine so it would be difficult for me to look into this problem as we cannot solve the error unless we can see it. root certificate was setup properly so I dont see any reason for such error.
please check https://www.eukhost.com and let me know if you get similar error in Opera.

The https://www.eukhost.com page is fine are you using shared SSL though? It happens in IE and Firefox too. You have to be new, once you accept the certificate it nevers ask's you again. Maybe you will get it if you goto www.lionblade.com then click the Login/Register link.

I have never opened https://vc10.eukhost.com/ on my machine till today and I asked some of our staff members also to check. No one got any error with the certificate.
I've checked on some windows servers as well and there's no error message as you said.

Maybe you do not get the warning as you are using eukhost addresses already? And it accepts it as trusted. I know people from a few places have mentioned the warning to me, I have experienced it myself in IE and Firefox before.
From what you are saying the certificate should be trusted although it's shared, do I need to configure anything in Mod SSL CPanel as I haven't touched it.

Your store is really beautiful. You seem to have extraordinary talent which has made your store so beautiful.
I don't see any solution for the error message you are getting so I will offer a dedicated SSL certificate to you for no cost. You will need to pay for dedicated IP address only as I cannot waive off that fee. vc10 is part of 87.117.234.0/24 subnet which is struggling for every single IP so you will need to pay for the IP address only.

Thanks you for the positive comments
I was wondering if it is related to the website being located in a sub folder /lionblade/ instead of the default /~lionblad/
I had support move my main domain to point to a subfolder so we can manage multiple websites easily.
What is the cost involved in having a dedicated ip address, total cost/package.

Dedicated IP would be £20/year or £2/month.

Hi flesso, thanks.
This might be strange but have you made any changes mark, I cleared all my cache and didn't get it now? Can anyone reading this please try the link and let me know if you are getting any warnings/reasons to doubt the SSL connection.
Generally it will ask you to Accept the Certificate as it is not from a trusted source. Goto www.lionblade.com and try to Login/Register. This is when the website switches to SSL mode.

You are making it difficult for me
I cleared everything from IE many times to get the error but now you have said that you cleared everything to remove the error.
Anyways, I am happy to see the error disappear.

Hi Nams
The store works fine for me from the link - no warnings or errors. I'm using win XP and firefox (also works ok in ie).
Like the store - one small thing - don't know if you intended it or not - but the categories on the left have no font assigned so they use the users default (on firefox my default is set to comic sans ms to show up such errors) which is ok most of the time as most people don't change the standard setting (times new roman?)
Regards
David
