Default Referral Scheme

I think it would be pretty cool if you operated a referral scheme. I've pointed a few people towards eukhost and it would be quite cool if there were additional perks other than of course that warm fuzzy feeling

They can use cookies that set on a users computer. Its really simple and you can download a system like that at: www. hotscripts.com

Yes, the host called "asmallorange" are doing this. We if a person gets a referal after a new members signs up with them, they get 1 months free rent. But then there host is payed for monthly, not by the year.

Or even something like when you refer 10 people, you get 100Mb space or something like that.

I've seen this before where on the signup page under "where did you hear about us" you just type in a field such as the username or e-mail address or host name.

I get the idea that a lot those using the boards at present would be referring

Many people block cookies though, so that might not be the most effective way of doing it.

Just ask whoever you refer to use your domain name, or have a section in cpanel which allows you to send a referral e-mail with a *link* which includes your referral information (e.g. username)
