A few time now I've seen posts in this forum that are obviously spam - usually they are removed by the moderators. Last week there was one and I created a new thread asking how one reported such posts in order to get them removed. The spam and my question were fairly quickly removed. Today there are a couple of posts that may or may not be spam.
On a lot of other forums there is a button next to each post 'Report This Post' or something like it. This would enable people to draw the moderators speedy attention to the post. Any chance of anything like that on this forum.
What does everyone else think?

You have my agreement ...

As for the couple of inappropriate items posted earlier by a new member, because there is no 'Report to Moderator' feature being used here, I emailed Support — I noticed that eUKSam had a look at both following my emails, but they haven't (yet) been removed! I would have thought that anything promoting the competition was taboo?!

There is already a link to report posts which will notify all moderators.

It's not as if David and I are newcomers here, so where's the link?

What we're referring to may be found in SMF (and perhaps others), where you have 'Report to Moderator' link in each topic posted — I presume you're referring to something quite different Thomas?

LATE EDIT: Found it now — it wasn't entirely obvious that it's the exclamation mark alongside the topic number at top right of each message ...

Thanks!

No, above each post, there is an exclamation mark which when you click you will be able to report the post with a reason, which will notify the moderators.

Most spam posts are normally gone within ten minutes. There are a few exceptions though; some posts are made in the middle of the night, and for obvious reasons no-one is around then, so these posts normally stay til' around 8 o'clock. Us moderators try and keep this place spam free, however there are always exceptions.

I've been using that button for ages lol. I always report all the mobile phone spam if I see it. I wonder how many reports I've submitted so far?
