Website and Server or VPS Monitoring

Dear eUKhost,

Today we discovered that all the websites on our VPS were down from 2am until this morning at 11am when we noticed our websites were showing ‘Service Unavailable’.

This has now been resolved with the help of Alec. Apparently it was because the processes in use rose to a too high a level.

Please can you let me know if you are intending to provide any sort of monitoring services (paid for or otherwise) for the general health of our VPS and websites? For us, it would be very useful if we could KNOW whether processes, CPU, memory or anything else was running low ... or whether any websites are down or not displaying, or responding slowly so that we could act on it IMMEDIATELY (or possibly before it even causes outage), rather than having to wait until we just happen to check the websites (NB it was only be chance that we checked one website – normally we would not have a reason to do this so the websites could have been down for much longer).

You will get email notification and our support staff will also get notified if your websites stop working for any reason.

I have signed up for the server monitoring, what information do I need to enter in host name?

Also the delete function does not work. I think the following script is missing.

You don't have privilege to delete the server, Please send mail to our dedicated/vps department (dedicated @ eukhost.com ) with your server IP address we will add it for you.

we signbed up to the link ages ago... are we supposed to see the servers somewhere or get alerts?? or does euk simply get the notifications?
