Default Configure Outlook

Can anyone help me?

I have successfully logged into webmail but want to read emails and send emails via Outlook.

I have configured my outlook account and have added:

mail.gwlogic.com to the incoming mail
mail.gwlogic.com to the outgoing mail

I have entered my user name and password as i would to enter for webmail but it fails.

It finds the incoming and outcoming mail servers but cannot log in and thus cannot send the Test Email.

Can you help. I have enter my username as the first part of my email address and also used the email address but nowt.

In your outlook settings,

Go to Tools>>Accounts>> select Properties and make the following changes

Go to the servers tab, click on the unchecked box(check it) “my servers requires authentication”. Click on Apply button.

Go to Advanced tab, click the unchecked box (check it)
“Leave a copy of messages on the server”. Click on apply button

Let us know if it works

Hi Matt,

Yes, the username should be in full "user@domain.com" ie: user@gwlogic.com & it's password. Make sure that the firewall on your local machine has the ports enabled to connect to the server. Also, could you please post the exact error message you're receiving when you try to connect to the mail account. It'd be easier for us to investigate quickly..

The exact error message is.

Receiving reported error (0x800CCC92) Your email server rejected your login. Verify that your username and password bla bla bla

My username for webmail is Matt.Thubron@festinalente.co.uk so that is what i am using for outlook username.

Hi Matt,

This error message is related to incorrect username or password being used in the email client. I find that festinalente.co.uk isn't yet pointing to any of our servers, neither it's added to your cPanel or Plesk control panel, but as you say, it logs you in webmail makes me wonder. We'd need further information from you, could you please initiate a live chat request from the main site, this issue would be sorted out ASAP..

Default Try this

You can try the following
1.You should type in your full user name i'e username@domain name.
2. You should check whether the " my serer requires authentication" option is checked under connection tab in account properties
3. You should know the proper port nos. for incoming and outgoing mail server
