Default Copy a Data Base

Hello again.
If you've been following my recent posts you'll know I've finay managed to set up a website on my newly aquired VPS server.

I have uploaded the software to it and created a DB (data base) using Cpanel and for now it's running.

But and this is were it gets technical
I've been trying to upload a back up of my other sites BD using the backup opption in Cpanel

What I was hopping to do is install the web site software set up a DB for it and then over write the new DB with the back up copy of the DB from my other website.

But it wont.
When I select the ****.sql.gz file that I down loaded, Using the upload a backup option in Cpanel it goes through the motions but then all I get is a blank screen and the browser window says "conection error please make sure the address is corect or re type it. If you are having truble conecting to the net click the button below.

Needless to say the DB dosent upload.

So I'm wondering if it's some thing simple like the DB's have to have the same name?
Or does it sound like I have a problem with the upload function or something.

Is there any other way I can upload my old DB and write over the new one? and if so What would I need to do

Any advice would be welcome. I'm running out of time for my lease on the other server so a quick fix would be welcome Thanks

Default Got it

Ok this is how I finally got it to upload.
I went to my the old DB in Cpanel/phpmyadmin
The selected the DB I wanted to transfer.
Then clicked the Export in the top tabs then selected the Open Document Text radio button and none Compression. Saved it to my PC and then opened the new servers DB went to Cpanel/phpmyadmin and selected the DB I wanted to put the tables in and selected Import browsed for the file I just downloaded and clicked Go.
voilą 10 minuets late it was done.

Who's ya Daddy!
