Getting Started. New Domain, New EukHosting Account - UK Web Hosting | Dedicated Server Windows and Linux VPS Forum

Hi all

I joined EUKHOST a few days ago, creating a Windows Hosting account. At the same time I registered a new domain. bogdog.co.uk

I've added bogdog.co.uk to the domains section in the Control Panel

So, now I'm at the point where I want to start working on my website hosting. However I'm not sure as to whether things are set up correctly.

I can ftp the website hosting using the IP address of the server supplied by eukhost, but can't ftp the domain name.
I can ping the IP address of the server, but again cannot ping the domain name.

Any views?

Your domain name had our default nameservers which has been corrected now. Your domain name will start resolving in next couple of hours.

Ideally you should wait for 4 - 5 hours for the domain to propagate.

Problems again. the domain was accessible after my last post, but now I can't connect. Can't pint, ftp or http the domain

Any advice?

There was misconfiguration in DNS settings of your domain when the account was created. We are trying to sort it permanently so that it never occurs again but do you have backup of all your data ?

I would like to have the account recreated completely so that all entries get added as they should be. Let me know as soon as possible and I'll get things sorted quickly.

Your account has been recreated successfully and now there's no problem with DNS configuration for your domain name. Please verify the same from your end.

Login information and everything is same as it was sent in the welcome email.
