Access

Set your custom connection string values with the reference list on how to connect to an MS-Access Database.

ODBC

Standard Security
Quote:
Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\mydatabase.mdb;Uid=Admin;Pwd=;
Workgroup
Quote:
Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\mydatabase.mdb;SystemDB=C:\mydatab ase.mdw;
Exclusive
Quote:
Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\mydatabase.mdb;Exclusive=1;Uid=adm in;Pwd=;
OLE DB, OleDbConnection (.NET)

Standard security
Quote:
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\mydatabase.mdb;User Id=admin;Password=;
With database password
This is the connection string to use when you have an access database protected with a password using the Set Database Password function in Access.

Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=C:\mydatabase.mdb;Jet OLEDB: Database Password=MyDbPassword;
Workgroup (system database)
Quote:

Workgroup (system database) specifying username and password

Here's another type of connection string for connecting to Access 2007 Databases,
slightly different method than connecting to normal (MSAccess 97,2000,2002,2003) ones...

ACE OLEDB 12.0

Standard security
Quote:
Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=C:\myFolder\myAccess2007file.accdb;Persist Security Info=False;
With database password
This is the connection string to use when you have an Access 2007 database protected with a password using the "Set Database Password" function in Access.

Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=C:\myFolder\myAccess2007file.accdb;Jet OLEDB: Database Password=MyDbPassword;
