Surely with tip 2 it should be "Don't use no security or WEP encryption". In regards to WEP security it can be summed up with one word 'Aircrack', proof of how easy it is to break into. Also a new article emerged on Friday http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7052223.stm
WEP is better than nothing on a system as for many home networks in the suburbs, it is unlikely you will get someone trying to hack (I'm not saying it never happens!). Also, with the other measures I have set out it provides some security for your network even though as you say, it's not ideal.

Well, but RC4 in WEP seems not secure enough for practical use as it has weak keys. However it sound good that you can set a secured network although all odds.
