Can crontab do this

I am using e107 as a news portal,, it is an older version and their latest updated one has moved some files into different folders, very kind of them. The one that I am more concerned about is the rss feed news.xml.

I ahve a lot of people who feed off the sitemany other fottball organinastions and to go round them all would be perhaps hopeless. To save that is it possible to set up a crontab, to copy the output file(new position) and place in same place as now ?

Meaning I could update and not have to worry. Must admit cron is totally baffling to me at the moment.

Yep. This is possible with cron but as per my knowledge this cron needs to be set by the root user. You will need to open a ticket from our helpdesk for our senior system administrators and they will provide you with a solution.

Make sure that you include all details of what needs to be copied in what directory as that will save your time and wont stretch the ticket to multiple replies.
