cpanel e-mail forwarding not working

I'm not sure whether this is due to something needing to be changed on the server, but i've set up forwarding on my cpanel e-mail address on our server, so that all e-mail to it will be sent to my main personal e-mail address, as well as my company address.

I then sent an e-mail to my account on the server from a third account to test it, but the server never forwarded the e-mail on.

I've asked on the cpanel forums in case it's a problem with cpanel ,and was advised to remove and recreate the redirection rule, but after doing that it still does not work.
