Now that that one domain has been sorted (but not the others - see above) I was surprised that my customer said they still weren't getting emails - so i checked and the problem was the default address - it was set to fail. The customer had the catchall set to be the default email account - but somehow this had changed to fail. No problem - I'll just change it. However when I go to the set default address page in cpanel, it won't accept the main account as the cathall.
The text on the page says

However when i type in the username of the cpanel account I get the error message
