HOSTING CONTROLLER and default documents

I have amended the default documents list to include index.php and default.php. But when I then go to view a website that requires this addition I get 'Directory Listing Denied' and of course the page doesn't show as it should - if I enter /index.php in the url it displays fine.

Is there a reason for this? Does it take a while for new additions to the default pages list to become active? The settings do appear to have been saved after I log out and in again to the main reseller control panel the additions are in the list.

any help/advice would be appreciated.
