Default Hosting Controller - domain setup

Hi there, I have just signed up for a reseller account and have a couple of questions.

I have setup a new plan in order to create new domains / website hostings. It seems as though I cannot change the resources assigned to the plan once it is created (or maybe after a domain has been assigned to the plan). Is this true?

Also, is it possible to move a domain to a different plan after initial setup? If so, how?

Control panel access - after I setup the new domain, I got the confirmation screen that told me the control panel access is at http:// domain/admin. However, I do not want to transfer the domain until I have it setup properly, with database etc. Is it possible to access the control panel via IP address? I tried http:// ipaddress/admin but this gave me a 404 error...

I wanted to access the domain specific control panel as I could not see a way to add a SQL Server database via the reseller control panel. If I go to the domain properties in HC, then click on Database, it simply says 'No Record found'. Do I have to access the domain specific control panel (as above) to setup DB's?

Email - I went to http:// ipaddress/MEWebMail in order to setup mail enable for the domain, but when I tried to login with the details given me in the domain setup confirmation details, it said 'Unknown or disabled user'. How do I set this up - I absolutely cannot change the nameservers for this domain until I have the email setup as this is an active domain...

Thanks in advance
Ben

Ah - I've got the answer to my first question - I was trying to change the number of databases allocated to the plan - but it seems like my reseller plan only gives me 1 SQL Server database - thus it wouldn't let me sell more.

I am able to change allocated space / other resources within my reseller plan limits. I've taken the database limit issue up with support.

All other questions still apply though

Ben

Hello Ben,

I have replied to your questions as below:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
1> Also, is it possible to move a domain to a different plan after initial setup? If so, how?
Ans : First create another plan from Hosting Plans -> using Add Plans option. Then goto Hosting Plans -> Sold Plans section. You will see the domain and the plan assigned to it and also the other plan you created. Just Select the other plan and click on 'Switch' button given at the extreme right side. That will change the plan for the domain from existing plan to the newly created one.

2> Control panel access - after I setup the new domain, I got the confirmation screen that told me the control panel access is at http:// domain/admin. However, I do not want to transfer the domain until I have it setup properly, with database etc. Is it possible to access the control panel via IP address? I tried http:// ipaddress/admin but this gave me a 404 error...
Ans : Yes, you can do that by using the URL : http:// 87.117.201.122:8077 with the same username and password

3> I wanted to access the domain specific control panel as I could not see a way to add a SQL Server database via the reseller control panel. If I go to the domain properties in HC, then click on Database, it simply says 'No Record found'. Do I have to access the domain specific control panel (as above) to setup DB's?
Ans : Yes, you can do that by switching to the user for which you want to add db's etc. You can do this by going to User Manager -> selecting the domain you with to switch to and clicking on the 'Enter' button on the same page. You can then go to the domain properties from this panel and add db's and do all that you want.

4> Email - I went to http:// ipaddress/MEWebMail in order to setup mail enable for the domain, but when I tried to login with the details given me in the domain setup confirmation details, it said 'Unknown or disabled user'. How do I set this up - I absolutely cannot change the nameservers for this domain until I have the email setup as this is an active domain...
Ans : Goto Domain properties of a specific domain(use the procedure mentioned in point 3 above to switch as a specific user) -> goto 'Mail' option -> click on 'Mailboxes' option -> use the ' Add New Mailbox' option to add new mailboxes for that specific domain.
