cPanel 11 !
Hello David(s)
We are upgrading our all of servers one by one, just to make sure everything is working fine by rigorously testing the same. The server your account is hosted on may be upgraded to 11 as I am typing. If you'd have provided us the server IP, I'd have confirmed it
Not only the File Manager, but there are lots of other features that are newly introduced in this latest release. This update includes a tremendous list of new features including:
Security Center with comprehensive security tools
Substantial Back-end code upgrades
Apache 2.0.x and 2.2.x support
Increased interface speed
Web disks
Site Owner Interface Upgrade
Site Owner “Getting Started Wizard”
Upgraded branding and better language support
Easy Perl, PHP and Ruby module installers and much, much more
I am off to learn all of them...

Is there a way to switch skins in CPanel? as whilst the CPanel confirms it's now using 11 the skin is still the same as before. The new version 11 skin looks nice.

I think the skin can only be changed by eUKhost. In the demo of WHM on the cPanel website it has a section to change the skin but I don't think you can do it through cPanel.

You can change it if you click on Change Style (Under preferences)
Oops - just checked another website - and looks like some of the existing cpanel 10 themes didn't convert right or something - and need to be changed from WHM first. Guess its a simple matter for support/reseller

If I am being silly then I apologise now but where is the preferences / change style located? I've had a look all over cPanel and I can't find it.
Also is it any relevance that the cPanel version says 11 but along the top in the top left just above the welcome message it says "cPanel 10".

Looks like those options only appear once the skin is sitched to 'x3'.
Servers that have been upgraded but use old skin...
- 87.117.200.71
- 64.38.20.134
...just for reference.

* Just bumping so that eUKhost are aware of the servers which have un-upgraded skins on. *

I was monitoring this thread but had some fear about changing theme as we will need to deal with high volume of tickets after changing theme. I have done this change on 3 servers hosting your accounts but we will need to answer customer tomorrow so I will do this on other servers one by one.
I've had a look at x3 theme and thats really great but customers will question about this change.

In my opinion the new setup is simpler than the previous one. I like the 'Password Strength:' box that appears in the email/ftp account creation section, a handy reference.
Maybe it's worth sending out a mass email mentioning the CPanel updates. After all you could always mention about the FTP issue and the achievement in stopping it, along with a reminder of new password requirements.

Yes, it is a good point.
An e-mail would be a good way of getting the information across - after all you (eUKhost) have been great in updating the cPanel so I am sure it will get a lot of positive feedback from the people who haven't already found that it has been updated.
I haven't noticed the password strength box yet, having said that I haven't set up a new e-mail or ftp account since the update so I won't have seen it! I am off on a hunting mission now to play with the new gadget .

Skins Update
Just wondered when you're expecting to have the skins updated on all the servers? I manage a few different accounts on eUKhost and some have been done while others haven't. My personal website hasn't been done yet and I want to play! Lol.

I thought they had all been done by now? Strange, mind you I suppose it is quite a big job updating all of the servers!

The server I'm using has the IP 87.117.201.114. It's showing the CPanel build of 11.2.8.x so it is the new version but it's still the x skin, not x3 as with my others. The IP address above doesn't match either of Eidolon's IP addresses which is sort of why I was wondering.... I thought it would have been done by now as well.

Update
Further to all that above, apparently CPanel 11.2.8.x has been installed on all the servers however only some have the new skins on. It's a trial to see how it goes and if successful it will be rolled out on all the servers. This is likely to be soon (on a timescale of weeks).
Guess I'm just going to have to wait to have a massive play with it as I don't fancy wrecking other websites I manage!

Well if it is a trial, for me it is going well. I love the new cPanel and cannot fault it. The improvements and the new skin are far better than cPanel 10!
