Default Plesk to Cpanel

I have purchased a new Linux dedicated server with cPanel. I am using Plesk control panel on my old server, now I would like to transfer all my website's data to the new server. Can anyone suggest a proper method to transfer all my data to the new server or is there anyway to restore Plesk backup file on cPanel?

Hello,

If you wish to migrate your accounts from Plesk to Cpanel, then you need to move your data manually.
There is no such direct utility available under CPanel to migrate accounts from Plesk server.
On your Cpanel server, you need to create the accounts manually and the move the data under httpdocs/httpsdocs under domain on plesk server to public_html directory under respective domains on Cpanel server.
Also, databases(Mysql) need be migrated manually.

Regards,
Nick J.

Log in to WHM, go to 'Copy an account from another server', select 'Pl*sk' from the drop down menu under 'Remote Server Info:' and enter the relevant details for the server and account you want to copy from.

ahhh... will it work for Windows Plesk or only with Linux Plesk at other end (old host ) ?

I have tried above steps while migrating Windows Plesk account on Linux cPanel but got error about " Timeout during ssh session ... Retrying....Setting permissions on pkgacct-pXa script "

Most important thing for the forum is its database, you should download full backup of your database in .sql format and restore it from your cpanel control panel's "Backup/Restore" section. download the forum web files using FTP and upload them on your cpanel account.

Make sure you add a new DB user and assign it to the Database you restored. Open your forums configuration file and replace the DB Name, DB Username and DB password. Your forum should start working once you make these changes in your configuration file.

Make sure you upload your forums web files in the public_html directory in your cpanel account.

it won't work for windows plesk, it works with linux plesk only and that too for very limited versions of plesk control panel.
