Default Plesk: Multiple Domains

I have my primary domain (chriscollins.info) set up to use "physical hosting", as it was when my account was set up. I wish to also host the domain chriscollinsphotography.info. Should I:

a) Set it up to also use "physical hosting". If so, to which folders would I upload files for this website hosting and for my primary website hosting?

b) Set it up to use "standard forwarding". If so, where should I set the domain to point to? I'm not certain if this is correct, but should I point to a folder on chriscollins.info, such as chriscollins.info/photography, or would pointing to a subdomain of my primary website hosting like photography.chriscollins.info be better? In this case, would I put the files in the httpdocs folder contained in the photography subdomain folder?

Hi Acciaccatura,

First of all i would like to clear the diffrence between both the options.

Physical hosting: creates a virtual host for the domain

Standard forwarding: forwards this domain name to another domain name when accessing it via a web browser. Note that the address line of the web browser will change to the new address.

So if you want to load chriscollinsphotography.info as an independent website hosting then use Physical Hosting.

Thanks for your reply. I have done as you suggested and set both domains up to use physical hosting. To upload files to my website hosting now, I guess I just use two different FTP accounts (One associated with each domain from when they were setup) and upload to the httpdocs folder of each?

You can setup 2 different FTP accounts if you prefer to go that way or you can use the main ftp account and upload in directory of respective domain.
