Not sure if this is right forum but I'll give it a go.
I've got a domain on the linux server and have created a few email accounts. Suppose they are something like
Code:
paul@mydomain.com, terry@mydomain.com
etc.
If I log in to my webmail account (using Horde) and want to send a message to terry, do I have to type in the full email address? Or, seeing as how it is all within the same domain, is there a shortcut I can use instead - something like terry@localhost maybe, or even just terry.
And just out of interest, if I use the full address does the server send the email out of the server into the big, bad, world so that it eventually finds it way back as though it were a normal email coming from a completely different source. Or does it recognise the domain and intercept it before it leaves the server. [You may note a lack of technical terms here!]
