Question Ssl

Hi all,

Am looking for some help regarding SSL certificates. Can anybody tell me how or point me to a walkthrough on how to set one up in the control panel??

Ive generated a private key and a certificate (although not certain details are correct) but dont know what the CSR is for!

Would like to use on a zencart shop.

thanks for any help

Dan

You cannot setup SSL certificate on your website if you dont have a dedicated IP address. You will need a dedicated IP to setup a dedicated SSL certificate on your website.

You can contact our helpdesk to order a dedicated IP or you can purchase the dedicated SSL certificate from us directly for £39 per year. It included dedicated IP for 1 year as well as installation.

If you donot wish to spend on dedicated SSL certificate then the shared SSL certificte would be perfect for you. You can take a look at Shared SSL thread in announcements section to know the Shared SSL URL for your website.

Thanks for the quick reply. Just to clarify, yes the Shared SSL is all i need. I understand the instructions on that post, but do i still have to do anything in the SSL manager section of the control panel?

Hello Dan,

You dont need to do anything with the CSR option in your control panel if you wish to use shared SSL. All you need to do is modify secure URL in your zen cart shopping cart and add the shared SSL URL for your website over there.
