Hey everyone,
Basically a remote access key is used for any applications that require access to Web Host Manager in order to create, modify or to remove accounts. Essentially it is a security key or a password for the use of these scripts. The most popular types of scripts that require access to Web Host Manager and a remote access key are: third party billing software and automatic account creation scripts.
Because of the security risks involved with sharing your remote access key it is highly suggested that you keep it to yourself at all times, just like you would your root password to your server or Web Host Manager account.
