Seems to be becoming a common occurance of Big Brother now - surly it will come under fire yet again after a less than fast reaction time.

2 evenings ago Emily was clearly heard using a racially offensive term in the Big Brother house. Although expressing remorse after initially trying to defend herself Big Brother took the decision to remove her from the house in the early hours the following morning.

I just say get Big Brother off the box. If theres gonna be racial problems every time, the sh*t should go.

I have got to disagree. Channel4 took the necessary action 7 hours of it taking place so surely Channel4 is taking it more serious on these types of cases. If someone breaks serious rules they will get booted out of Big Brother and the public will hate them

I am sorry, but if I said the "n" word I would be arrested within minutes by the police. Why take hours and hours (especially after all the Shilpa Shetty stuff) to evict her.

She commited gross misconduct on the show and personally I will appeal to OFCOM to take the show off air as it was grossly offensive to me as a white citizen of the country as I guess it was to most of the black population of this country.

The way she also tried to defend herself saying it wasnt offensive and she normally says it with her friends - that is a joke - it is a criminal offence.

I'm sorry, but victimising a person because of their colour is very wrong and if she hadnt been in Big Brother while saying it she would have faced a custodial sentence of up to 5 years for racial abuse.

I think its more likely that Big Brother will be axed after all the controversy it is creating.

I see in last nights eviction there is yet another notice from Ofcom and an apology from Channel 4!

BB and C4 has taken a lot of care into this seasons series. I doubt anymore racial-marks will be made because the housemates know what they'll be facing for their actions

. I do however think that C4 can't keep apologising every season about this because eventually the public will get annoyed with speak-but-no-action kind of thing. So if it does persistent with this then Ofcom will eventually get to a point that they want the show off air I believe.

They are paid to pass Racial comments and paid more to get evicted. You seem to take it too emotionally as its all about making the channel popular.

Yes but surly they cant break the law just to make good tv!!

I admit the race rows have made BB interesting but at what price to its once pristine reputation (especially with advertisers!).
