With paid you get alot more features such as PHP etc. Although sometime I do use free, just to host files like signature images, and demo files for games etc so bandwidth is conserved.

Of course Paid one. If you go for free, you should not expect good service and support from a free host providers, it can close any time without notice, just my thought

I think it also depends on your website hosting, if you have created your personal website hosting just for fun, free webhosting will be a good option but if it's a source of income for you then you should go for paid hosting.

Please correct me, even for creating your personal website hosting just for fun free hosting might be not safe as there is chance of ripping of your website hosting more and so on your identity.

Well I suggested free hosting for a personal website hosting since it will be a website hosting just meant for fun to the owner. Rip off from the host company is possible since you are not paying for the service. I assume the website hosting will need less bandwidth as it is not meant for the public, the website hosting is meant just for him and maybe his family.

I would recommend to go for paid hosting along with reliable and quality 24/7 suppport and uptime. They should also provide 30 days free trial or money back guarantee. Thus it is useful for all professional and business website hostings.
IMO, you cannot expect quality support and other good features from free hosting as it is unpaid. So, those who are beginners and in the learning phase in the webworld and have very less or no budget, I think free hosting is good alternative.

paid.
atleast with paid, you pay for a service and can expect certain pre-requisites.
for free, the hoster wont be as inclined to help you out

free hosts are not guaranteed, so you can never be certain your website hosting is going to be up forever. also - free hosting always has terrible names and huge advertisements all over them - just looks ugly.
paid is best, and for the price you can get paid hosting for these days, any serious webdesigner shouldnt be afraid to put his hand in his/her pocket.
