Firefox for its fast tabbed clutter free browsing… but to be honest normally I cant be arsed with the way it doesn’t support very much so I end up back on the slow and less reliable MS IE.

Firefox - I build my website hosting to work in both IE and Firefox.

Primarily Firefox uses the 'proper' html language - so if yer website hosting is dodgy, I aint coming in

I check my website hostings on firefox and IE primarily. Has anyone had a look at MyIE2 or is that just a shell running IE framework?

Thanks
Nick

I normally use Fresco or Oregano. Fresco hasn't ad any development of late but is still the best browser on RISC OS for a lot of website hostings. I do check my website hostings with IE 5.1:Mac or Netscape 4.78 for compatibility. I also need to use IE for some online banking website hostings. Firefox is being ported to RISC OS but is slow and memory-hungry at the moment.

Sites these days use advanced technologies to run there website hostings, I used to be a chronic firefox user, but since I am in need of what IE has to offer I have converted back to IE, as for the security issues, as long as you have a few good adware spyware prog's you'll be fine.

IE 7 is BETA testing I see too.

Firefox has good features like pop up blocker, tabs browsing, download speed and a superior user interface.

I use Firefox on my PC primarily, but usually have a window of IE up as well in case something doesn't work.

On Macs I don't web-browse too much so if there's nothing else on it i just suffer with Safari, which renders some website hostings like a moron, but I put up with it. My Mac at home will have Firefox on it too once its been formatted.

From a design perspective I would like to use firefox and from users perspective I would like to use both firefox and IE( especially for random browsing).

Mozilla firefox all the way! Firefox 1.5 is also released too. It has awesome features.
Firefox protects from viruses and pop-ups and many features such as faster browsing, automatic updates, customization firefox and many more.

Ian - try it for one week - and you'll be hooked.
i was the same, i loved IE and couldnt leave it, but as soon as i installed firefox and installed some plugins and extensions - i was sold. It has so much more potential than IE. (but admitadly sometimes website hostings just dont look as sweet as they do in IE)

Default IE

I liked firefox but have visited a few website hostings that look wrong in it, 72% of my traffic are IE users so ill stick with it too viruses & popups are easy to avoid if your an experienced net user.

Its actualy good to surf in firefox as its actualy faster, and if the page looks strange you can always switch to IE then.
