Flat-Screen or Normal Screen?
Today I bought a flat-screen TFT-LCD monitor, and wondering on peoples opinions. What would you rather use? Flat-Screen or Normal Screen?

Nothing can beat a good TFT. You should find out scientific working of both and then make a decision on what is good for your eyes.

CRTs give a better display than most LCD screens, well thats what I think. The glass is better for your eyes (I think?).

Nope. Radiation generated by CRT is not good for your eyes. I've used CRT for more than 2 years and now using TFT for 3 years. I know how TFT has helped my eyes.
There's absolutely no irritation for your eyes at the end of day when you work whole day in front of your TFT.

My eye website hosting is completely crap and I prefer to look at a CRT (dunno why). You can also gets scratch marks on LCDs (pressure marks I think is the proper term?) which you can't get with CRTs.

I think the quality of todays TFT monitors are far superior to that of only a couple of years ago and match CRTs for their clarity and colour. TFTs are also much better for your eyes and I find that I can work much more since I have had a TFT before I get eye fatigue than when I used CRTs - I used to get headaches quite quickly when working on CRT monitors, but that's something I don't even notice anymore.

Absolutely. Same with me. I use to get headaches frequently also, when I had a CTR monitor. I hope this TFT monitor will solve my problems.

The monitors on the newer laptop screens are great. Very nice color.

Absolutely. I am glad I have purchased one of these LCD screens. And yes, it is very easy to break an LCD screen. I couldn't believe the price I bought this TFT/LCD monitor for, has decreased in price since I last looked in 2005.

CRT belongs in the bin - my flat screen monitor has been great for me, gets a bigger resolution, produces a better quality and sharper image and as you said produces less eye hurting radiation. Plus they take up less space so you can have a smaller table to put them on!!
