Google Tax
The UK government is considering proposals that will impose "online advertising tax" to Google and other search engines, the aim is to help boost revenue for the BBC. I think few may attack on this idea because it is brought in the middle of the recession phase. News Source: Daily mail

New Labour getting ever increasingly desperate...... dear oh dear.
If our current government would like to save money while improving our hospitals, education and other services as well as reduce our national debt and start the road to recovery from the banking crisis may I first suggest our complete withdrawal from the European Union which is currently costing the country £40 million pounds a day which goes to a corrupt organisation that imposes its will on us as and when it likes?
Feel free to vote for me at the next election .

I read somewhere about voting UKIP at the elections in June. If UKIP beat Labout into third place then Brown will be forced to step down, I think that's more than enough convincing for most people.

sometimes I think what's the point in the UK being part of the EU - ok, the EU may have been beneficial a decade ago but what good do they do now except making ambitious energy/carbon footprint goals that won't do much difference ... we probably waste so much money and carbon emissions trying to meet these targets...anyone will be able to become government at this rate so let me know what your party name will be .

To minimize the waste of money they should think over how to transform "Carbon Waste" to turn it into liquid hydrocarbon fuels.

that is another money making scheme and online domains can't take that tax.. there is too much suffering we are having just by dealing with the current payments and taxes we have... don't make our life that hard.... i protest!

Poor strategy- Tax Google to pay BBC, seems Google may start charging Youtube viewers.

Haha, and if they taxed verbal diareahhea (or however you spell it!) we'd not be in a recession with the amount MPs come out with!

I believe UKIP have quite a bit of support compared to usual. They are definitely tempting me. I just don't like some of their more extreme policies on domestic issues.

Yes, and it would get to a stage where everyone is charging everyone.

Maybe - but if all sites starting doing it to make up for the shortfalls if they all ended up being affected - for example if Google was taxed they may in turn tax people / companies to be in their listings - then not a lot would change - it would become accepted.
