Well, no more recession holidays for anyone here!
Let's all pray that we never see recession anymore! This is God's world as it was all the time and there shall be no places for any more negatives. Let's get back to work... a work dedicated to God, parents, and our beloved country.
When you dedicate something to God, HE loves it and blesses it completely. So, let's work for HIM and believe me, recession will never touch you.
OK folks, this is true... As Within, So Without! (Meaning, as in the subconscious, so it materalizes in the real world)... We create our own destiny... so lets create something that's wonderful...
Now, get back to work! LOL Holidays in December last week! Have fun till then ... you'll enjoy work from now on, and really succeed! God Bless!
Keep Smiling! It keeps the sadness out... just try... 100% Guaranteed!

Recession is coming whether we like it or not.
Alistair Darling & Gordon Brown more or less had to admit it in there statements today. Quote from BBC News "The economy in the United Kingdom is in the worse state it has been since 1940".
So basically we were better off economically when we were having bombs dropped on us, a mad dictator trying to take over Europe and having to rip down all signs / lamp posts to make mortars and when there was rationing.
How the hell did they manage this?

By 'they' I mean the idiots that run the Labour party, after all they did make Allistair Darling the Chancellor.

I was referring more to Russia. They're on the brink of sparking a new Coldwar, and if it goes far enough, even WW3.

I think you'll find a lot of the issues boil down to oil. Oil prices go up means heating and transport costs go up which therefore means the cost of living goes up. People therefore spend less meaning the economy grinds to a halt and therefore a recession. Nothing the government can really do about that until the oil price sorts itself out. It also hasn't helped with the housing market in America falling flat as banks have got more careful about lending etc.
Russia can only flex its muscles as it know that Europe is too reliant on its oil and gas supplies and therefore can't do anything too drastic.

Yes, well its about time the Government did something about our reliance on Eastern oil and gas.
One thing I like about Obama's is his pledge to reduce the yanks' reliance on Middle Eastern Oil, I just wish our Government would do the same.

Yes, but the US has their own oil reserves which they can use. We don't and that is where the problem lies. Until we come up with some kind of technology that means we can run everything on a source we can find in the UK, we'll be reliant on other countries and regions of the world - no matter how much influence the government likes to think it has, when it comes to things like oil they can only do so much.
Amusingly, the banks have kind of shot themselves in the foot as they have invested in oil rather than property as it is currently a strong investment with prices rising. But by everyone investing, the prices have gone up, people can't afford the cost of living and are defaulting on their mortgages. And therefore the costs being run up by the banks are increasing because their "need" to make huge profits.

Well we must have huge reserves of oil as well, we didn't help invade Iraq for no reason!

Unfortunately you can't just store oil in that way and the amount we go through, there is no way we could have built up a stockpile.
And orginally we went into Iraq because of the Weapons of Mass Destruction. How often do we hear about those now?

Thats what they say. All we went in there for was the oil, thats the only thing we're guarding.
Either us or the US, or maybe both of us, have stockpiled oil from Iraq for the future.
