I was going to update it yesterday but luckily it already updated itself . If you go to Control Panel -> Automatic Updates I recommend you check now because it's an urgent update mate .

My updates are done automatically and as my computer is online they are done the second they are available. I just use manual checks to make sure it hasn't missed any and have already done it several times this month! .

I just take extra steps. Have a 3rd party firewall, ad / spyware, virus scan, email prog, browser, Office Package, photo package etc.
I think youre safer if you just use windows and no other M$ products..

I have all that as well but the spyware / adware / trojans / viruses still find their way through occassionally.
Plus if I do as Micosoft say and stay updated etc when it all goes wrong I can email them and winge and wine at them that their product isnt working!! (and hopefully get some compensation!)

I've never heard that one before!! I know Vista isnt fabulous at the moment but find XP ten times more stable than the likes of 2000/ME/98/.

Not for me its not. I had my 2k box up for 178 days once without rebooting and it ran great. XP crashed constantly on me, got more virus's yada yada yada. It bored the shit out of me. Only good thing was I did get it booting using 118Ram.
