Gets bitter here, alot worse than I ever remember in Ireland.
It was -10 celcius there the other night. I have seen it in the -20 celcius range too. We dont get the rain that yous get but it gets uber cold here.

I hate the cold. I hate rain as well but I'd rather have it warmer and wetter than colder and dryer .

I dont mind the cold except for the fact I ride my motorbike all the time.
-10C with 30MPH wind chill will kill you if you dont wrap up right.
Having said that summer was May through Nov this year so it is a good trade I think.

I personally would just prefer a nice temperature all year round . Not too hot and not too cold as I hate both!

No other country in the world has weather as good as UK has.
You should visit Mongolia where the day temperature gets close to 50°C and -20°C at night.

The UK can keep her floods
I am contemplating a move to Pecos in TX which has similar weather to here.
This weeks forcast is 23C today, snow tomorow, then up to 18C which is the kind of weather I am looking for.
It does get up to 43+ celcius in the summer though which I can take.

Still not a sign here. Lots of rain and some ice but no snow to speak of!

Ah right. They did do it here near me but only on a couple of days - the ice has been quite bad some nights and mornings.

Yah. We dont get much moisture so ice is not a huge problem. On occasions we will wake up with frost on the ground but just have to deal with it. Always fun riding the motorbike in the frosty and icy road condition :S

How many accidents have you had on them due to ice and snow though?

Personally I think I'm going to win on the snow argument.... Well, not right now but I'm off to Toronto on Sunday and then New York on Wednesday!

Absolutely none, touch wood
I had the rear end spin round on me and thats it.
Even drove the 750 home, last 90 miles was a blizzard, though that nearly killed me. I was black from the cold. But I survived and not technically an accident!
