US Election 08
Barak Obama for President.
You have my vote (virtually at least as I don't have a vote in this election!).
It will be a great day for the world when the Democrats are declared winners!
So are people on here for McCain or Obama?
This might be a little premature, but congratulations Senator Obama, Mr President .

It might be slightly premature but the DPS Group is showing its respect for the next 24 hours for Senator Obama. Congratulations, Mr President.

Dear god. The man was never once questioned by the mainstream media about any of his plans and his past and now he is president. Cant wait for bigger Gov and higher taxes. Will be just like Ireland
Still though. Two crap candidates and this is what we are left with. Again.

From where I'm sitting - yes thats what counts .
Just like the USA don't care when our taxes go up, or fuel duty, or alcohol duty, or congestion charging.... etc etc.

Yep, but war expenditure should go down under Obama - after all he wants efficient withdrawal from Iraq.

Your congestion problems are your problems. Vote people out instead of the same fools in over and over.
Spending wont go down but up. 3 trillion he has in new Gov spending and Pork.
To talk like Obama is some God who is going to change the world is a bit far fetched IMO. Look at his background.
Though he does have a great smile.

Firstly, I correct my above post. I will be moaning even less on Jan 20th - not 4th!
He might not be God in his own right, but compared to GW Bush he IS GOD AND ALL ABOVE!

Blind faith is OK ?
I have still yet to be told by anybody how higher taxes are better than Bush ? Kill the coal industry. Raise welfare, make bigger Government and increasing hte national debt is better than Bush ? Didnt Baghdad and Washington already make an agreement to be gone by 2011 unless they are requested to stay ? So he cant lay claim to that.

That's not set in stone - Bush actually doesn't want to draw up any timetable for leaving Iraq (or for that matter Afghanistan).
Well George Bush has made the national debt of the USA rise to $3 trillion - so yes, your taxes arn't higher but the moneys still being spent - unfortunately this policy cannot be continued forever, so that does mean inevitable tax increaes.
