Apache configuration broke due to cpanel updates. We have sorted all the problems that came up due to this problem but it took some time for us to fix this as all AddModules and LoadModules got messed.

Everything is back to normal on Tutor and there wont be any more problems with Apache configuration on Tutor.

Tutor.eukhost.com had problem with Addmodules, LoadModules and other configuration settings in Apache at 4 PM 1st Feb 2007.

All problems were sorted before the end of day and some websites were running for some time and some had downtime due to this problem.

i cannot access cpanel atall now

yet again i was lied to by the support staff ... told to wait 5 - 1o mins for cpanel to load.. waited 2 hours ! and then got kicked out of the chat session once i asked what was going on..

any one want to actually help?

Please open a ticket from our helpdesk and include login details for your cpanel in the ticket.

Let me know the ticket number so that I can verify working of your cpanel and get back to you.

the whole website is down again now and nothing loads. theres no point speaking with support because they will say the same thing, "wait 10 - 15 min" or " im just checking" then an hour later nothing has happened ! what am i supposed to do ? put up with it? its not what im paying for, im trying to run a business online and if its not working then i have no business

Your website is up and running now and cpanel login should also work for you. We were upgrading cpanel on the server which caused downtime of 2 - 3 mins but now cpanel and webmail login is working fine.

Please verify and let me know. Your first point of contact for critical technical problems should be our helpdesk as livechat support staff cannot assist you with critical technical problems.

The help desk isnt instant like the chat thats why i prefer the chat.

and to clarify, the cpanel doesnt work.

our website uses htacess for the navigation but this has never been a problem

He's completely depressed.

He and his GF ended their 5 Year old relationship so poor Robert is somewhat depressed.

We had restarted apache with some missing security modules and that was not safe. We made it work as there were too many chats and tickets but we had to add those modules again as security of our servers is most important for us and any kind of injection or attack can make huge problems for us.

Last night our senior system admins started recompiling apache with the missing security modules and that resulted in some downtime but eventually all necessary security settings were successfully added.

ok nice one ,its just frustrating as we are currently re designing the website, and its hard when it keeps going offline every hour or so.

is there any more planned maintenance i should know about??

Nope. Now there's nothing left to be done as the configuration is back to what it should be for a secure server. Our System Admins insisted on doing the update last night to add missing modules and I had to approve that as we cannot wait for anyone's approval when it comes to security of servers.
