Default Mambo Problem

Site was running fine last night. Got an open_basedir error this morning for which I opened a ticket for. This seemed to be resolved but leaves me with a "Template File Not Found! Looking for template" message.

Support kind of said, well yeah it's your code your problem kind of thing. But this website was fine last night and just stopped working today.

I've looked into folder permissions and tried a few things but cannot get beyond this problem, and I'm no sure support are looking at this anymore.

Does any1 have any ideas?

Maybe I should add that I've got a windows account and I administer through Hosting Controller.

Let me know the ticket number. I will get this problem sorted for you.

If you never opened a ticket then please do so from http://support.eukhost.com. If you don't have any problem in giving the domain name over here then that would be fine for me.

So I've taken a look at the php script:
Code:
if ( !file_exists( 'templates/'. $cur_template .'/index.php' ) ) {
            echo '<font color=\"red\"><b>'.T_('Template File Not Found! Looking for template').'</b></font>'.$cur_template;
And I get
Template File Not Found! Looking for templatetemplatename

Yet I know that the directory and index.php file exist in that location. What can stop file_exists function from working correctly? I've heard of using the .htaccess file, but I have a Windows Host account and creating a file like that causes a 500 error.

OK apparently file_exists:
"This function returns FALSE for files inaccessible due to safe mode restrictions. However these files still can be included if they are located in safe_mode_include_dir. "

But not sure I can do much about that with a Windows host account so editted the script and threw out the file_exists statement because I know for sure that my templates are in place. So not ideal but at least the thing is working now! Phew!

If you need any modifications in php.ini for safe_mode or register_globals then you will need to reopen the ticket.

I've personally got god knowledge of windows servers but we have restricted windows troubleshooting for some of our windows system admins only as windows system administration is quite different from Linux.

Zammo - not sure if this will help but yesterday one of my customers (I'm a reseller) was having problems uploading files and moving them to a specified directory. He was getting problems that appeared to indicate the same safe mode restrictions.
Eventually I managed to get it to work using $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/his_directory/temp/ .$file_name
so for you it would be $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/templates/'. $cur_template.'/index.php'
might be worth a try
