Default PHP server on computer

Is there some software which can imitate PHP server but when I'm offline and it's located on my computer? Because I use dial-up, and I can't connect to Net whenever I want and test my site, I'm just curious if this is maybe possible.

Hi I use xampp at home and before that I have tried wampserver. I can't add urls as I have only posted twice! but google will find them for you.

These both give you local access to Apache with PHP and Mysql already configured and I have only ever had to make small changes to the http.conf file to add virtual hosts and change include paths as i don't do anything out of the box.

Both have lots of help and plenty of results in google if you have any errors.
