Default PHPlist on eukhost

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me get PHPLIST working on my eukhosting account.

It is at walkhighlands.co.uk/lists

It all looks to be installed ok, and I can login as admin.

But when I try to change the header or footer or create a subscription page, it just chucks me back to my homepage (walkhighlands.co.uk) when I click 'save' or 'save and activate'

Has anyone got any ideas?

I can cofirm that everything does look to be working OK from a users point of view.

Your problem sounds like it may very well be to do with the mod_security rules on the server. Although these can be disabled it is normally wise to investigate alternate solutions as disabling the mod_security rules makes you account less secure.

Have you opened a ticket with support[@]eukhost.com?

I have got to admit that I haven't encountered the same problems as you before with PHPlist but then again I did just use the basic setup of this.

Ive had this problem with several scripts too. When you hit save you go off to the homepage. I never contacted support, but instead changed the files locally and uploaded.

This is another solution and work around the mod_security rules. From my understanding certain script actions that are genuine are unforunately mistaken to be malicious so it blocks them and returns you to the home page.

most of the open source scripts, CMS and blogs use certain executable code to write on files under the installation. there's nothing wrong with mod_security as same concept is used to inject your website with malicious code.

If you can manage to do how Brian does it then you will have safe and hack proof hosting experience with us.
