yup, i would recommend phpbb3 too, i use it, and it kicks a$$, its the closest thing in the free market to VB....

Is that a problem not seeing logs ???
He is our customer but he has his dedicated server and he cannot see logs of the server which is hosting your account. He tried his best to help you in every possible way while it was 2 mins job for me as I have access to logs of server hosting your account.

Oh right I understand now what you meant, Gadge was right but it must have been frustrating trying to explain it to a noob like me...lol

There is one other thing, since I uploaded fresh templates & files to the forum directory, i have since gone to reinstall a birthday mod, but when it gets to the sql changes it halts.

I believe this is because I have already changed the database when I previously installed the mod & it's dangerous to try & make changes again, I run into this problem every time I update to the latest phpbb2 release. But know I have fresh unmodded templates I just unticked allow changes to database & it all seem to be working ok, it's even remembered my previous profile changes.

Will it be ok for me to leave things as they are or should i make changes to the sql database as explained in the mod documentation. I have no idea how to do this. I've looked in phpMyAdmin & do not know where to begin.

I suppose I'm going to get the same problem the next time I update, as I don't have a copy of an unmodded database ?

What a nightmare...
