Default Tired of seeing command has been disabled for security reasons

How many commands have been disabled? I cannot do anything in TYPO3 without triggering a command that has been disabled. Is there a way of opening up access to commands on shared servers? You would think TYPO3 uses pretty standard PHP commands...

We cannot allow any of the disabled commands on our shared server and especially those used by TYPO3. If you wish to get this commands enabled then we will need to move your account to our other server which is reserved to allow disabled commands.

The commands are disabled by eUKhost, not through preference but through necessity to keep the other accounts on the server you are on secure.

It would be unfair to risk downtime for other websites that dont use the disabled commands and have created "safe" websites for a couple of websites that are using disabled commands!

I hope you managed to get your account transferred and that everything is going well with your website and TYPO3 is functioning for you again .

It turned out not to be a blocked command, but a security setting that could be and was turned off in .httaccess.

Problem solved. Helpdesk guy called 'Chris' was a star.
