Uploading gif

Hi

A webdeveloper is creating a website for me and originally I was going to be able to upload adverts as gif, png and jpeg. The jpeg uploads fine, I haven't tested the png but the gif won't work and I get an error, he says this is beacuse the PHP settings on the server only allow for jpeg uploads is this correct? Can it be changed?

Ask him to check the .htaccess file in your account. He uploads some rules in the .htaccess and those rules create problem for your account.

He has blocked .gif in the .htaccess
