Default Any idea why my nav bar stays static :rest of content moves around it?

I did a website hosting as a surprise wedding gift recently for my best mate, I was one of the best men at his wedding at the start of October and we thought it would be a nice gift for them both.

I am pleased with the results and so are my mate and his wife.

www.robinandsarahswedding.com

But there is one annoying thing about the Gallery page.

I used a Dreamweaver plug-in called Image Gallery Magic PVII to generate the Gallery page and upload the pictures to.

It looks fine on my monitor which is a 19" widescreen.

However, on smaller monitors and non-widescreen ones, if you move the size of the viewing window/display on the horizontal plane, the nav bar below the top banner appears to stay still yet all the rest of the content moves either left or right.

Is there an easy way to remedy this?.

Thanks.

It looks as if it has some kind of margin or absolute position assigned to it from its behaviour. I haven't had time to look into this yet but I'll try to have a look tomorrow.

Update:
In the stylesheet you have:

#galNav{
margin: 0;
font-size: 0.75em;
position: absolute;
top: 104px;
left: 385px;
}

This could well be the problem with the fixed position. It will need a bit of tinkering to get it to be ok and if I have time later, I'll look into it.

Your problem is indeed with the absolute positioning, more specifically the left position is set to always be 385px...

#galNav{
margin: 0;
font-size: 0.75em;
position: absolute;
top: 104px;
left: 385px;
}

Perhaps change the css to something like...

#galNav{
margin: 15px auto;
font-size: 0.75em;
}

This SHOULD make galNav centered on the screen by adding auto margins left and right, and add a 15px margin at the top and bottom.

That kinda worked, but it moved the nav bar too far over to the left of the screen and I think the content is still moving around it when you change the page size.

I'm insanely busy this week but I will try and look into it.
