podpress isn't that new - I've been using it for a while. It's a very good plugin though for adding mp3 playback on your blog - I recommend it.

If podcasting is not a purpose then I think Audioplayer plugin is good for music related blogs by which you can insert mp3 audio files easily.

website hosting
but I have to say I have been prefering Drupal more recently. Then again that is because I've wanted to have something that was a bit more interactive than a blog.
