Odd CSS Problem
Right, take a look at this page: test.ldngigs.com/Gigs.asp
I'm trying to get the two columns to align next to each other. I don't want to use the float rule as I'll need the container div to expand and retract as the size of the table div does with information. However, I can't seem to get them to align next to each other for my life.
Any help is appreciated.

Try putting float: left; in the CSS for the left box. If this doesn't work, put it on both boxes.

No joy, the underlying div doesn't want to expand at all now :/

Have you tried different position properties? As position: absolute means it will align supposedly ignoring other elements in the page...

Hi Josh
Just tried with web developer in FF on your page:
Take the width off #container_gigs_sidebar and then for #container_gigs_panel make the width:1px and float it left (not right). Looks just fine then, lines up as per the right margin on #container_gigs_sidebar

Hi David,
Thanks for the suggestion. I've managed to get the aligned as needed, but the background div (#container_main) is still not expanding with the 2 above mentioned divs.
Any suggestions on how I can get it to do this are appreciated.

Do you mean expanding vertically? - if so put
HTML Code:
<br class="clearall">
just before the .
It's to do with having all floated content in a div
