It seems to behave alright - I've used it a lot on the mac and its interesting that they've almost managed to retain for windows, the elegance that safari has on the mac. Mac browsers also render text differently to those on windows but safari renders mac-like text in its windows browser, i.e. its much heavier and (in my opinion) much nicer. It can look a bit daft with bold text on a windows machine though. It also displays form elements mac-like. So you get smaller buttons than expected when styled and smooth glob-like buttons when unstyled. Other than that it seems to behave ok. It is only a beta afterall, but looks good.

I have just installed Safari and it seems okay so far. The main reason I have installed Safari so when I make website hostings it will be compatible in Firefox, IE, Netscape & Safari. I bet theres going to be a lot of competition between, FF & Safari.

/Edit: I have looked at www.eukhost.com and the navigational bar text is outside of where it should be. (That is, in Safari.)

FINALLY!!

This should make life alot easier for developers, so at least they don't have to have a Mac to test website hostings on Safari.

That's a great news. I haven't installed it yet, so can't talk about it much, but after reading your thoughts, I thought I must test it on my PC.

On Windows, it's still, very much a beta. For Mac however, there's a significant speed boost, rearrangeable tabs & windows & improved rendering. It might not be as popular for its browsing experience on Windows but it's well worth it for the odd developer wanting to see what their website hosting looks like on a Mac.

That means Safari for Windows need to fix bugs in their browser before getting out of beta. Right?

Safari passes the Acid2 test, so it's unlikely to have any CSS bugs.

eUKhost might just have a tiny glitch in their CSS files causing this problem - most CSS problems like this can be fixed really easily anyway.

And WOW! Safari is fast... I knew it was fast on a Mac, but this is extremely fast for Windows.

WOW ! its so fast. I cannot believe that it could be better than Firefox in terms of speed. Our CSS seems to have some minor problems in Safari but it should not take much time to sort those.

I actually cannot believe how fast it is either. I have actually closed Firefox because I have really become to like Safari after Thomas telling me a few things (like CTRL + F - no seriously just search something like WOW!)

Finally, a browser seems to have beaten Firefox in many aspects.

Lol, I hate Firefox anyway, so I think it beats it by miles.

I wonder what MS response to this is?

"Oh s***, not again!"

LOL . Yeah I do wonder what Microsoft will think to this. All in all they want to be the leader in the browser market and so they are going to have to fight even more to be at the top. Safari is a good browser and I believe it's going to beat many browsers, even Firefox hopefully.

eukhost website hosting has many html mark-up errors, let alone css.

Safari leverage the page real estate and also makes bookmaking extremely easy but it lacks most of the advanced security and privacy features, that is the reason I have not thought yet to shift to safari from Mozilla.

The security and privacy of safari is extremely high, the only problem with it at the moment is the fact its a bit buggy, especially on Vista - but there again, it is Beta.

It's crashed on my computer a few times now but it's a really good browser especially for a BETA stage. It was really slow for me this morning when it was working perfectly fine yesterday so I switched back to Firefox. Although the browser renders the text really big for vBulletin and a few other issues.

I like Safari now - it's very fast. It keeps crashing though, it doesn't seem to like unsigned SSL certificates...

I installed the safari on my windows machine. I like it. It's really fast. For windows machines the text looks broader. I think that's why eukhost navigation bar has the probelm.
